This is the main reason I don't like/use cracked apps, I worry that this kind of thing to save a few $$ will long term force apple hand to act tough & damage the likelihood of successful future jailbreaks.

    Just my 2 cents

I agree with you about DRM and Apple but let's call a spade a spade. This guide allows you to install apps that were meant to be paid for. Only people who do not wish to pay will use it. I know each app is relatively cheap, but it all adds up when you have about 40 or 50 of them on your iphone.

I admit that removing this thread will have little or no affect on people installing cracked apps. Even stranger is Apple's reluctance to do anything about it. I even added a security feature to an app that checked to see if it was "cracked". The app was rejected by Apple until I removed the code that did that !

You may not agree with Apple's DRM policy, but showing people how to add cracked apps is not hurting Apple. Its hurting the app developers themselves.

For instance, you may not like the polices of your local bank, but you don't go around shouting the code to the bank vault as a protest (thus causing fellow bank customers to lose their money).

We have a couple of seriously good apps ready that I think will be quite popular, but we will not be releasing them until Apple do something to stop them from being cracked. I know of other major developers who are witholding apps because of this too. For instance, Need for Speed is due for release next month, but I have heard from one of the programmers that EA are seriously considering holding back the release, all because of "something as cheap as an iphone app" (Quote: Post #10)

I just think apple should give us demos before making us purchase the entire app.

Yes, totally fair sam, sorry the warez link in the second part [which I tried to remove after posting to correct, but couldn't]. I should update somethings on it.

For developers: I'm Mac programmer, I know how much time costs. But I wrote this guide thinking in ppl from countries that can't buy [w/o a international cc, like my country].

So, I apologize the problems, soon I will be updating the first and second post.

sam, can you split the 2 parts?

    Thanks all!

i got a question, it seems that iTunes didn't automatically update applications or games that i download outside itunes.

all application that i install from itunes are automatically updated in itunes.
but application (free ones) that i d/l .ipa from elsewhere are not updated even when the itunes store have latest version of the application.

    any solutions ?

Delete the free ones from the iPhone and iTunes, sync, and then buy it from iTunes Store. Works perfectly.

no, itunes dont update automatically, you need to buy them to get auto update. but you can see at the developer site if there's any update, then redownload it.
