If you had the photos in the camera roll you may be able to extract them from the backup made by itunes when you sync your phone.

Have a look at this thread.

If you've erased the phone & you don't have any backups at one of the locations below I can't think of any way to recover the picture

    Mac OS X
    ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

    Vista
    C:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\AppleComputer\ MobileSync\Backup\

Tips: Apple has make a backup file for every iOS devices generated via iTunes. Once you’ve synced your iOS device with iTunes, this backup file will be autimatically generated, and continuously updated every time you sync. It’s really a good method to help you backup your previous data, but it’s a double-edged sword-you can’t access this backup file or transfer anything to your iphone again.
Use guide about how to recover iPhone SMS/Contact/Photo from iPhone directly!!

There are two ways to recover iphone deleted photos from Mac:

    1. Directly scan and recover SMS from iPhone
    a) Connect your iPhone to the computer
    b) Enter DFU mode and scan iPhone
    c) Preview and recover iPhone messages

    2. Scan and extract iTunes backup to recover iPhone SMS
    a) Scan your iTunes backup for iPhone 5/4S
    b) Preview and recover iPhone SMS
    c) Do backup well

After I had lost important information some time ago, I decided that I would save everything to a "cloud-based" program. I have things saved to Google Drive, Dropbox and iTunes. It saves space on your devices, and also helps you to access your information, no matter where you are.

To recover deleted photos from iPhone, donít use SSD data recovery software to restore iPhone lost photos; it will not recognize the iPhone and will cause potential damage to iPhone.
You must to use a professional iPhone data Recovery software to recover lost photo from your iPhone directly,or restore deleted pictures from iTunes backup files for iPhone
