How to have Safari open a local .html file?
I'm not sure this is possible on Mobile Safari. 3GS, 3.0.1, jailbroke
I want to store a custom .html file and bookmark it in Safari. On a PC, the URL would be something like "file:///C:/custom.html"
My searching (maybe) shows that I could install lighttpd & OpenSSH. I could probably do that, but would prefer not to.
Anybody know an easy way to do this. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a web site that I could store the links I need.

there is a file schema for Safari in cydia. that will allow local file browsing in safari.

File browsing isn't the problem. It's Safari not able to use a local url.
Anyway, I found an easy to setup free website that works very well to host my url.
