Is there any way to alter one of the keyboards to a different language? One that is not listed?

Does enabling the international settings like this also fix things like number format and caller ID?

That's why i was wondering if we could import some of the ipod touch settings.

On the ipod you do have :

    - Full language support
    - Dictionaries
    - regional number format for phone numbers, dates, etc...
    - Keyboards with accents

Has anybody compared the two filesystems ?

Hey guys, I played with an iPod Touch yesterday and noticed, that the iPod touch not only includes international keyboards, but also auto-correction for that language. (I assume the dictionaries switch together with the keyboard view.)

Now to my question: Once you enable intl. keyboard on the iPhone 1.1.1 does that include the auto correction, or does it still try to make english words out of everything you type, regardless of the keyboard language?

Really curious to hear about this!

Allright guys, I have to correct myself. It really DOES change the number format! You just have to go one extra step (without hacking).

Navigate to Settings -> General -> International -> Region Format and change it to whatever you like.

    This changes:
    - number format
    - first day of week (calender starts with monday for europe)
    - date/time format
    - maybe more...
