How does apple confirm you're an att customer?

So... my iphone is completely frozen. Before it would only freeze when I opened my camera app and usually I would be able to get it to unstick after hard reseting it a few times. I even tried restoring it, it didnt fix the problem. And just today, it completely froze for no reason at all. So I'm deciding to bring it in to the apple store tomorrow.

So my question is, what kind of questions would they ask you to confirm if you're an att customer (I'm on t-mobile)?

umm.... your AT&T customer id, or your telephone number may be?

When you activate through iTunes your on there radar and yes they will ask for number because I am on AT&T and I called before for help

hmmm... well i restored and i cant even slide to unlock. so its not even activated with itunes. if they were going to ask me for my att number, i was thinking about giving my friend's number. he has an iphone with att.

Why talryout [honr to the store. just restore to original. then run XiPhone to jaoilbreak activate unlock. and reinstall any apps you have. Here is link to put your phne into recovery mode. then connect to itunes and follow prompts to do official restore.

Thats the best way just make sure your friends AT&T sim is in and make sure he knows your number. They might ask if the activated it since you didnt use iTunes. You might want to have your friend say that he took it out the box played with it for a bit then froze up and thats why you never used it on iTunes. Make sure that you have everything it came with so it looks really legit

Edit: sorry I just saw your post. Idk about changing the ime thats a whole diffrent story. If thats the case that you changed it I suggest trying to fix it

Yeah....thats how i did it. I restored with itunes. the thing is, its a persistant problem. like when i get it unfrozen, it'll happen again eventually. i've actually restored it a number of times and even posted threads for help. no luck. so i'm thinking its just better to bring it in to an apple store? i'm just scared that they wont replace it.
