How to detect and delete VIRUS from iphone?? (no virus yet, don't be scared)
Hi there, since the iPhone can surf the internet, the possibility of getting the virus into the phone is high. S, does the iPhone have any anti-virus software to pretect it? How to get the software?
Thank you.

In response to the original poster, the chance of catching a virus is almost zero at this point.
1: No way to download .app files to the phone for use
2: No Active X to install malware or spyware. This has already been stated.
3: No way for Bluetooth file transfer, so even someone near you would not have access to the file system.
However, if you end up hacking the phone so you can add applications, be mindful of what you download.
Treat it like a computer. Don't click on links in random emails and texts. Think when you use it.

Right.
Because we all know that a version 1.0 mobile browser could never, ever be exploited.
The poster has a good point. A full browser with extensive javascript, html, and plug system is open to arbitrary execution and other hazards specifically targeted for the iPhone. If a piece of spyware was installed, for example, it would go unnoticed with no recourse other than a full restore via iTunes.
With the amount of reports of this browser crashing on various web pages, i am sure it wouldnt be difficult.

Mobile browser in the loosest sense of the word, maybe. Remember that this is a scaled down version of safari, unlike most mobile browsers that were written specifically for the mobile platform.
The more likely possibility is that a macro virus could be passed along to a Windows user from a Word or Excel document in email.

yes i agree, the only real danger i would imagine would be to windows users from emails passed on. one of the really simple ways os x prevents a lot of wares being installed is it stops and asks the user for their username and password if they wish to access any system functions, or even install apps into certain directories. without explicit user action, nothing harmful can be installed. os x isn't like windows where once you're logged in as admin you can just install anything you like without being prompted. you are asked for your admin username and pass each time you install to the system core.
