PushFix no problem's dude. I just was unsure of your site. As there had been many selling unlocks that were bogus. There is no reason someone offering quality services for fixing hacked iPhones to make a $$$. I plan on using your method to finally sort my first gen out. I personally have stopped tinkering after my disaster at 3.0. Scared myself too much. PsuhFix all is cool by me.

Cool, I just wanted to set the record straight. I also wanted to explain my case on why I thought it was fair to charge since it's a service. It is possible I could offer $1.99 or $0.99 certificates with no support. However, I am leery of doing this as people could give me a bad reputation if they couldn't get it to work. At my current price I am able to provide 100% satisfaction.
I too am very much against the unlockers selling other people's work for a profit. I am using dev teams inject, which I do give them full credit for. I am not hiding their copyright notice or pretending their work is mine. My app has the proper keychain routines integrated into it, so it will not need nimble nor inject when it is released and replaces the manual install.

Just got the PushFix and all is installed & working. Thank you for making a very simple easy fix. In my books worth every penny. Seeing I have had my first gen from launch. I have run many a hac to make it work on non AT&T sim. Somehow from 3.0 I have lost my way. And totally messed up my first gen. Then I was lucky to find a hacked version of 3.1.2 way before DEV team posted. Taking a lucky punt. I installed, prior to me making public notice of this firmware. My push & locate me was working to the best of my knowledge. Then just recently I noticed this had ceased to function. Now with your simple cert injection all is working. Thank you, hope times with real employment do pick up for you. We live in a very changed world now. One can only hope it improves & gets back to prosperity for all.

@pushfix,
Thanks for chiming in.
Your philosophy and ours is different.
Your method and Aviegas' method is based on the same Dev Team's injection
Here, we document everything and we show people how to do it. Although it is currently not easy but we are trying to make it simpler and easier.
Our goal here is to give back to the community by offering free help and support to the best of our ability & availability. It's our way of thanking those who made iphone hacking, jailbreaking, unlocking possible.
ps: this is MY personal view on the matter. I don't agree with your approach. I think giving it for free with an optional "donation not required but appreciated" is more appropriate. Plenty of people have done this similarly (e.g: Geohot , Semaphore (firmware umbrella) and etc..). Just my 2 cents. BTW, hope you don't get offended by my personal view, I just speak what's on my mind.

I take no offense to any of you disagreeing with my approach. I understand your philosophy and I have been on both sides of the philosophical fence.
Clearly I'm outnumbered here, but that's ok. The market will determine my path as my conscience is clear with either philosophy. The (jailbroken) iPhone market is rapidly changing and becoming much more mainstream, especially with blackra1n. The recent Wired.com post mentions another paid app that just removes Apple's restrictions. http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/...eak-community/
“People are so annoyed by Apple and their shit, and if you give them opportunity to go around it, then they’ll even pay for it,” said Kim Streich, a developer whose app 3G Unrestrictor earned $19,000 in sales in just two weeks through Cydia.
By the way, I really appreciate your site and all the effort that is put into helping everyone. Thanks for giving me a chance to speak my opinion as some forums are total dictatorships. Also thanks for allowing discussion of my site. I just wanted to make everyone aware of my good intentions, even if we disagree on other things.
PS: My one-time experiment in shareware got me $10 in donations for over 10,000 downloads. Many people wrote how much they liked my software, but almost no one donated. I was happy that they liked it, but unhappy that they thought so little of my time.

I generated keys with my old iPod Touch 2G to use them on my iPhone 3G. Then I installed Push Fix from Cydia on the iPod Touch and gave it to my nephew (because he doesn't use push apps and I don't want him to get my push messages). What happens if he updates the software of the touch (or restores the firmware), will he get new keys or the same ones I already have on my iPhone?

Your nephew will get unique keys each time they restore their iPod.
I would not recommend the pushfix from cydia at all.
