    Default [How to] check OTB Firmware

    Hi guys, i bought my iphone in india 5-6 months ago and i bought it unlocked with 1.0.2 but im not sure if thats my OTB.......is there a way i can check?
    MacBook Pro OS X SNOW Leopard
    iPhone 4 16GB iOS 4.2
    iPad WiFi 64GB iOS 4.2
    BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300)

    I believe the only way to check is with the serial number. Part of the serial number is the week of production and that will correspond with what firmwares were on the phones shipped that week.
    I'm sure a google search of your week of manufacture will find what you need.

    if its a 16gb iphone then it came with either 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 OTB if its 8gb then check the 4th and 5th digit of your serial number if its greater then 45 its either 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 OTB if its less then 45 then its either 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 or 1.1.1...

    I have a week 48 and it came with 1.1.2 though....

    Open the Phone application and the dialpad . Type :
    *3001#12345#* and hit the call button. Click on "versions" . Check the Firmware version and you are all set.

    Dude, you completely missed the point. He wants to know what firmware his phone was shipped with, not what baseband he currently has on his phone.
