Just type each command and press execute?

Sorry 1st time using terminal commands
    to be sure

    rm /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist Hit execute?

ln Hit execute? -s /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/O2_UK.plist /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist Hit execute?

    rm -f /var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist Hit execute?

    Thumbs up

    Also worth mentioning....

Once you have 1.1.2 back on and after running windows.bat / osx file you will then need to ensure SSH and the BSD SubSystem are installed.

Reboot the phone after BSD Subsystem Install then connect to WiFi,

Once there go to: General > Networking > Wifi > Select the current wifi network and then click the arrow to the right to expand the information for the connection. Find the IP Address your iPhone uses then on Windows open PuTTY SSH and login as:

    user: root
    pass: alpine

    then follow the steps here:

    rm /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist

    ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/O2_UK.plist /var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist

    rm -f /var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

Once this is all done on the command line reboot the phone, EDGE and Visual Voicemail are now back and functional.

thanks to those who provided the original fix for this above.

Is there a way to get EDGE Settings back to network menu?

Maybe I did something wrong but VisualVoicemail still doesn't work. When I click VVM I it calls to my voicemail. EDGE/GPRS works.

In 1.1.1 i had to edit my edge settings manually, otherwise they got forgotten on reboot. With 1.1.2, the iPhone takes its Edge settings through the menu and remembers hem.

    Settings / General / Network / Edge
