    I changed

    DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents"

    to

    DocumentRoot "/var/root/Media/tmp"

and after saving and uploading the modified file httpd.conf to iPhone and reboot

I copied "xray.mov" to "/var/root/Media/tmp" directory and gave all permissions to the directory "tmp" and file xray.mov tried to load the file from safari but typing "http://127.0.0.1/xray.mov" in the safari address field and tapping on "Go" gives me following error:

Forbidden you don't have permission to access /xray.mov on this server

Now what am I doing wrong?

you never post on a forum asking for something you don't know?
I wish someone reply something like your answer without a piece of advice or clue...

This is an Apache configuration issue, so it would have been better if he read the apache user manual before posting a question like this.

    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod...l#documentroot
(found in 2 mouse clicks with google)

You must restore the original path in httpd.conf (DocumentRoot "/Library/WebServer/Documents)

To make a symlink, ssh in your iPhone (use the search if you don't know how to do)
Then move the folders and type this

    Code:
    cp -pr /Library/WebServer/Documents /var/root/Media/
    mv /Library/WebServer/Documents /Library/WebServer/Documents.old
    ln -s /var/root/Media/Documents /Library/WebServer/Documents

yes, I do ask for questions. That is one reason I've signed to hackint0sh forums. But if I need info regarding Apache I would not ask on samba lists. Neither will ask help with my Porsche to any Apple Genius. As XianLi said, people are waiting things in silver plates, they are unable to google around for nothing and you can be pretty sure after something they will do and mess his phone, he will blame those on this forum or devs, but will not assume his own fault by lack of capacity to learn by himself.

I restored original path. Now I want to creat a symlink but before that I want to be sure I have got it right. Could you please explain what these commands will do. I tried to find out myself from apache manual but it seems more complicated than what I thought and it requires learning unix and putting a lot of time and I only want it for fixing this problem.

Bender's method will work fine, but so will your original method of
changing DocumentRoot. I changed my DocRoot and it works fine.

I think the step your missing is setting the execution bit on the Media directory.
By default, Media is not execute for everybody. On unix, the execute
bit is required to have access to the directory. With or without the symbolic link, I think
you will have to do this. From ssh (or terminal):

    # cd /var/root
    # chmod 755 Media

    The 7 specifies root access.
The first 5 is for group access.
the third 5 is for everybody. (Apache runs as userid 'nobody', unless you change it.)
