Please how can someone tell physically just from looking at the box to see if you have a 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 firmware, i know of the #3001*12345*# method but that can only be done when you open the phone.....I need a way you can tell with out opening, if it exist......thnx......

there was a thread a couples of days ago, you "may" know seen the serial #

for example
7R7 38 ******* is 1.0.2 (less than 38 could be 1.02 or 1.0)
7R7 39 ******* could be 1.02 or 1.1.1
7R7 40 ******* is 1.1.1

this number is the week of the year.

so if you have "39" there no way to tell if it's a 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 other than opening the box....

The box has the same iPhone image (without wi-fi store)?
Maybe new boxes will come with new iPhone images (with wi-fi store) instead of the older ones.
