Default How can I watch videos from my iphone on my tv

So I bought a cable to connect my iphone to the television, and i connect everything, but i cant figure out how to set my ipod to send a tv signal out. I know on the older ipod 5g that there is a setting in the ipod, but i cant find anything. Also, would do the same thing on an ipod touch? Thanks. Oh and by the way i did search.

'A cable' might be the problem, if it is not the AV-Cable that Apple sells especially for iPhone and Touch.

And if you can't find anything in your iPhone, i think you have a 1.0.2 and should upgrade to 1.1.1 minimum to get the TV out feature/settings activated.

    1. You need to buy the Apple branded cable - nothing else works.
    2. You need to have 1.1.1 FW or higher on your iphone.
1st Gen. 8GB 2.0.2 Working on Vodafone (UK), Orange (UK), LUXGSM (Luxembourg) and Dialog GSM (Sri Lanka).

No. of iPhones unlocked on 1.1.3 FW: Nobody cares!
No. of iPhones unlocked on 1.1.4 FW: Nobody cares!

I repeat it one more time.

The compatible Apple Video Cable for iPhone-iTouch doesn't have Jack plug.

On one side it has a Dock connector plug and the other side 3 or 5 RCA/cinch plugs (audio, video) and 1 USB (power/sync).
