When you browse gmail.com using safari and try to compose a mail, you will see that file attachments get disabled by default. I am sure, this could be hacked so that we can attach files directly from the phone.

Can someone in iphone-dev, try and see if this is doable.

you can just set up your gmail in mail.app and send attachments.
if you want to e-mail songs install sendsong from installer.app.

how?i am not seeing any attach option

attach from the files itself. For example pictures, go to the pictures and send it as email. Kind of sucks as of now.

what about those who dosen't have pop3 account or who don't want to setup his account in iphone.

So please find a solution for safari ,so we can access any email account and attach any file.
