Yeppiii. I also did this on my 1.1.2 and also my edge-gprs working as usual.

I used these instructions on my otb 1.1.2 unlocked phone and it worked perfectly.

Everything seems to be working fine as far as other apps go.

Modify these two files:
com.apple.carrier.plist
com.apple.operator.plist
under /var/mobile/Library/Preferences

You need a plist editor program, I downloaded PlistEditPro (OS X) and worked very easy to do.

Again, both files, in fact, are symlinks to the same file:
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root mobile 60 Jan 28 23:22 com.apple.operator.plist -> /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/Unknown.bundle/carrier.plist
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root mobile 60 Jan 27 20:01 com.apple.carrier.plist -> /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/Unknown.bundle/carrier.plist

Other than that, it worked as a charm. It's just that file is binary plist now.

the same guys (look source above) have now released this fix for 1.1.3. Again I tried it and works without affecting EDGE connectivity!
