Default HELP! Wierd thing happens when talking!

Ok well I have an unlocked iPhone and when I'm speaking in a call, I always keep pushing either hold or speakerphone with my cheek accidentally. One of my buddies told me that the iPhone automatically detects when you are in a phone call and the screen also automatically turns black therefore preventing you to push these buttons. Mine though, does not do this. I'm just wondering, is there a setting that I gatta configure to fix this, cuz it's reallllly annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a problem with your proximity sensor.

Generally this can only be fixed with a full restore or its a software bug or issue. If that does not work then you going to need to get it repaired.

Well by software do you mean that it's the software that was used to unlock the phone, or the software on the phone (the firmware). Because the phone was unlocked via StealthSim, so there was no "unlock" software installed on the phone. It was just jailbroken. And how sure are you approximately that a full restore would correct this issue? Thanks.

It would be a software issue on the phone. Nothing to do with the unlock though if you have 3rd partty apps one may be screwing with it. If it started happening after you installed something you can back track it that way.

But to eliminate a software/firmware bug issue then a restore would be best.
