Help! Stuck in recovery mode!
i have an iphone 3g 4.2.1 with ipad baseband.
today i wanted to restore again to 4.2.1
itunes said error 1015 at the end of restore. no problem i thought...
but now my iphone wont exit recovery mode.
i tried everything...
Recboot 2.1 on mac
Recboot 1.3 on win
Tinyumbrella 4.32.01 on windows (exit recovery and fix recovery)
fixrecovery 421 on win
fixrecovery 421 on mac
also tried redsnow 0.9.6 rc8 with "just boot tethered right now"
nothing worked... im still stuck in recovery mode
plz help! what can i do?

Connect the phone to the computer, launch redsn0w, select enter pwned DFU, follow instructions, restore again. If after restore you end up with error 1015 and in recovery mode, use TinyUmbrella "Kick out of recovery" button.

Okay, but did you restore? The whole point of entering pwned DFU is to restore, not to kick out of recovery. Something happened with your phone and iOS won't boot, you have to reinstall it (restore). Please try entering pwned DFU mode *and* restore. Post the results here, if you get error in iTunes, post the restore log.

ofc i restored it in pwnd dfu mode.
itunes said error 1015 and iphone was in recovery mode. and as i told in my other post nothing worked to get me out of recovery mode.
i tried to restore with a cfw 4.2.1 and everything worked fine. no recovery mode after restore this time. no errors in itunes.
i dont understand why the tools didnt work to get me out of recovery mode.

Cool, I am glad it worked.
Now just to leave the tip here: if you have iPad baseband, always restore using custom firmware.

I installed iTunes on another computer and plugged in the iPad. It was detected as being in recovery mode and iTunes was able to restore from the latest version. The iPad then rebooted normally. Plugging it back into the original computer allowed the last backup to be restored and a normal sync is currently underway.

iphone stuck in recovery mode!
plz help
Press down the Home and Power buttons on your iPhone until it shuts off.
Connect it to your computer with the USB cable.
Press and hold down the Home button.
Hold it down until iTunes says your device is entering recovery mode.
Now you should be able to Restore using iTunes.
