i just got my iphone here in aus, i have a 3 sim (3G only), and i tried to use it to copy my contacts off it, when i put it in the iphone it said sim locked, so i unlocked it, then when i unlocked it i use iclarified method of SIMport, but 0 contacts are coming up, i made sure i coppied all my contacts from my nokia to my sim, i know my sim is working because it says "no service" as my carrier...

any suggestions, other than manually typing on all 180?

Why on earth would you expect it to work. The iphone only works with GSM SIM cards not 3G. One other thing "no service" means what it says, your SIM is not working and will never work in your iphone

i just thought i COULD copy contacts off, not actually get reception...

anyway, i solved it by getting my phones plugin for iSync and copying my address book
