Default Help with o2 Pay and go GPRS settings anyone?

Fist off all, Im sorry if this has been covered somewhere else,
I have been looking at alot of edge settings Threads but have not found an answer for o2 Pay and go Sim cards.

So if anyone can help or even point me in the right direction That would be great.

Sorry again if this has been covered I have searched but o2 is to comman to bring up results.

    Thanks in advance

I have tried the Gprs settings ie

    APN payandgo.o2.co.uk
    User: payandgo
    Password: password

    Also tried the
    APN mobile.o2.co.uk
    User web
    password faster

etc, I belive It may have to do with me needing to change the proxy server, just wondering if anyone has managed to get this working and if so how?

O2 no longer run GPRS on their pay as you go network, also if you have 1.1.1 and want to migrate to another pay as you go network, dont, as they do not support the voicemail system set up in 1.1.1

I Have a N73 with GPRS settings and this works fine using my o2 pay as you go sim card, I thought I may have to set up a proxy server address up in my Iphone.

Also its advertised on 02 website that GPRS is on pay and go at the bottom of the following page

    http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/t...nepaygotariffs

Browsing allowance includes GPRS WAP on O2 Active and/or i-mode® browsing. Applies to use in the UK. 1MB is equivalent to browsing 150-200 pages, dependent on content. A minimum balance of 60p is required to start a GPRS WAP or i-mode session in the UK

But was seeing if anyone has tried this and either got success or failed.

Thanks for the heads up on the Voicemail though!

I have been through this over and over with o2!

The answer.................. get a pay monthly sim!

I got an o2 simplicity sim in the end. 1 Month contract, £15 monthly plus £7.50 unlimited internet usage. Got it set up, bought it through quidco so I got £23.33 cashback and it works a dream!

Definitely the way forward, the Payasyougo system is a waste of time, dont bother with it, it will not work unless you edit some files on the iphone to run through a proxy and I wouldnt go down that route just for o2 payasyougo!

plus with pay monthly u get edge speeds. i get speeds of 100Kbps-300Kbps

The main reason I want to stick with my payandgo is that at a touch of a button i can see how much iv spent or at least see how much I have left, If I wanted a contract I may as well get the iphone £35 a month at least its unlimited data.

    But simply I dont.
