I have a hack iphone ( OFTB with version 1.1.1 using independence 1.2.2 and anysim 1.1 and itunes 7.4.3.1)
All was working fine, I use the iphone for 2 days and all functions were working Bluetooth, wifi, youtube, safari, mail, phone, etc.
Suddenly I was charging my iphone (the night before I have run complete out battery) so I connect to usb in my windows vista pc itunes open,and while charging I was using google maps and it was working, and suddenly the maps stop loading, so I go to the settings and it was connect but no internet, and no ip address, (check in settings-general-about-wifi address);

I read I couple of post here and the solution seams simple, just make reset network settings, or rebot, etc; I do that and next time I have no wifi. My wifi is dead (this time is not like is connected but not working, I just can’t turn on wifi), I cannot configure, is just read No Wi-Fi, I try lots of things.

Is there any way to check if this a hardware problem or software?
I have not done a full restore via itunes, because I don’t know if I do it I will able to activate again; (and the phone and edge are working right now)

Can anyone help?

it sounds like a software problem, first try reseting the network settings if that doesn't work try a full restore

Yea I'm having the same prob, in setting, the wifi keep saying no wifi. I've tried to ierease it and downgrade the bb and did a whole restore and it's still the same. I dont know what else to try next

tks for your advice, i been reading a lot i after 3 days i think i have a clue of what to do, I was living without wifi because of fear if I do I restord and no wifi result, I will not be able to activate and unlock (since I need the wifi, to do this); but now I have notice my battery is mess-up because it will only last about 10hr on stand by; if I use the phone and leave it in night with say 60% of battery in the morning the battery will be dead.

So what the heck…………lets the battle begin …..…I will post my experience in a couple of hours.
