    Default Help Needed With GPRS and Edge

    hi all,
    just wondering if someone could help me.
    I am using a week 45 1.1.2 OTB in the Uk on Vodafone, 'unlocked' using Turbo Sim, i previously used a Nokia N95 which had GPRS etc....
    Problem is on the iPhone i dont know what to do to get it set up.
    If i look under. settings >> Network. all i get is
    VPN
    Wi-Fi
    DAta Roaming.
    I have noticed from other posts that people on Voda Uk are able to use edge However i do not have the settings etc.
    Has anyone else had this problem? and if so how did you get around it
    Kindest Regards

    Hi, I am not sure if this is gonna solve your problem, but...
    SSH into yuor phone and edit /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.carrier.plist
    </array>
    <key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
    <true/>
    I dont know, but maybe your AllowEDGEEditing is false...

    Good Luck

    You need to copy and paste this:
    <key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
    <true/>

    And the above should be pasted after:
    </array>

    All of this needs to be done in the following file:
    system/library/frameworks/coretelephonyframework/support/Name of carrier .plist

    Hope this is clear, the above will then allow you to edit your edge settings from settings>network>edge

    Vodafone UK settings are as follows:

    Access Point (APN) address : internet (For Contract)
    Access Point (APN) address : pp.vodafone.co.uk (For PAYG)
    Username* : web
    Password*: web

    Note: GPRS subscription must be enabled for "Vodafone Internet Access Service".
    Contact Vodafone Customer Services on 191 from your Vodafone handset
    iPhone 1.1.2 UK, Using O2 UK, Pay As You Go.

    Edit The 02_UK folder... Vodafone isn't surported so there will not be a folder for them.

    Also where the voicemail is set to (901) for 02 just change it to (121) for Vodafone UK
