Default Help.. Need contents of 'resolv.conf' file

Can someone share the entire contents of this file: resolv.conf
(it should reside in /private/var/run) and where it should be placed...

It appears that i lost this file during upgrading/downgrading.. and the symlink is broken now (pointing to the file, but it isnt there!)..

I believe that's the root cause for no WiFi on my phone..

Can someone PLEASE post the contents of this file.. Thank you.

Runnning on FW 2.0.1 TMobile USA.

I don't believe that that is your problem.

In 1.1.4 I had the /var/run/resolv.conf file (and a link to it in /etc/). But in 2.1 I just have the link to a nonexistent file, like you have, and my wifi still works.

But you can try; the contents were
    Code:
domain <name of wifi network domain>
nameserver <IP address of the DHCP server>
Replace the <...> things with the actual values in your network, for example
    Code:
    domain Home
    nameserver 192.168.0.1

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

hmmm.. that makes sense.. it's a link to a none existing file...
I am on 2.0.1 My WiFi stopped working after i had complications going form 1.1.4 to 2.0 (back n forth), commcenter error...
I get the 'wheel spinning forever' syndrome when i do a wifi network search.. cant figure out a fix... running out of ideas...
maybe going to 2.1 will help but scared to do it.. everything works on my phone now except for wifi...

weird.. so where is your resolv.conf file located now? and what's in it?

There is none. Just that link in /etc/ but it's not pointing to a file that exists.

You could install BootNeuter (from Cydia) and tell it to do an unlock, to see if you can manipulate the baseband a little. An upgrade to 2.1 may solve issues in the firmware, but if the issue is with the baseband it won't help (there was no bb update from 2.0 to 2.1).
