Exclamation HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!! Iphone with mega problems....

So i have an iphone 2G running firmware 3.1.2 unlocked, and jailbroken with blackra1n. and i dont know what it was unlocked with because i brought it like that. and im using a PC running vista.

ok so here is my story.... i brought an iphone 2G off a bidding web site and it clearly stated that something was wrong with it and that didnt bother me at all. So i finally got the iphone and the problem they said was wrong with it didnt seem to a problem at all (the problem they said was that it didnt show up when connected to the computer)

in stead it was stuck in recovery mode which didnt bother me because i easily fixed that, so i had a working iphone for a bit except that the home button didnt work for some reason, but when ever it rebooted i had to rejailbreak it because it would just go into recovery mode. And then after one day and a half the screen flashed white for a second then it just turned black and it wouldnt wake up or respond to anything but i could still hear all the sounds as if the phone was working fine. So i did a hard reset by holding the power/sleep button and the home button down at the same time until it rebooted, and it started working fine again as soon as i rejailbroke it with blackra1n to make it boot up properly. But then just about ten minutes later it flashed white agian and then went black and wouldnt wake up agian. I tried to hard reset it agian but this time nothing happened.

So i got home and connected it to the computer but it wasnt recognise by itunes so i couldnt try to rejailbreak it or restore it. Then i found out about DFU mode and how to put it into it, so i tried that and it was recognised by the computer this time so i thought hmm i know an easy fix ill just restore it to a default firmware......

i was wrong..... when ever i tried to restore it i would get the flippen annoying error messages 16xx!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRR!!!

so ive try most probably the majority of the fixes out there for the 16xx error messages and also a few on how to make the screen work again but none of them have worked so far. Ive tried to restore it using many different versions of itunes and firmware but nothing has worked.

I am unsure but i think that the problem is not a hardware problem but i could be wrong, but the reason why i dont think it is anything to do with hardware is because it successfully connects to my PC in DFU mode. and i know it has nothing to do with it not having battery life because last night i left it charging for the hole night but it still isnt working. So any help that you peeps can shear would be so great thanks.

I still havent tried to restore it on another computer though because i dont have one but as soon as i can ill try and hopefully that might fix it but your help is still needed thanks.
