Default Help: How to set up iPhone mail to display Chinese with gmail or yahoo mail?

Is there a way to set up iPhone to display Chinese in iPhone Mail? I tried both yahoo mail and gmail. They do not support Chinese. However, iPod in iPhone does support Chinese.

I was able to get hebrew to display by pasting hebrew characters into the approprate unicode range in Arial.ttf and then reloading it - the same should work for chinese
hebrew is displayed incorrectly (left to right) but the characters are ok
Chinese is Left to right correct, so it should be ok

Could you be more specific on how to past hebrew characters into the approprate unicode range in Arial.ttf and reload it. I would like to know a step by step instruction. Thanks in advance.

First , build and install a font editor like fontforge

next make a copy of the font you want to mess with , like Helvetica.ttf (copied from /System/Library/Fonts/Cache/Hebrew.ttf)

Find the start of the unicode font range for your language, for Hebrew it starts at hex code/offset 0x0590

fontforge shows you the expected glyphs for each range

Then cut and paste Hebrew characters from another font file (the arialuni.ttf from iPhones.co.il) , and paste them into Helvetica.ttf from the iPhone, which did not have them

Then save the font by using the Generate font option from the file menu in fontforge (generate as ttf and with a new file name)

Next move the new file to the iPhone, power cycle the phone, and the mail program now displays Hebrew - now for some reason also in the correct orientation
