[Help] Cannot update whatsoever
For some reason, my iPhone has to be gay. Whenever I click update, it goes "alright, let's update!" and it puts the phone into DFU or recovery mode or whatever the hell it is. Then it DOESN'T UPDATE. It gives me some gayass error like 1602 or something for which Apple has listed "upgrading iTunes" as the only solution. I'm on 7.5 right now. It never updates. I can RESTORE and then do jailbreakme, but I can't update to 1.1.2, so I'm stuck at 1.1.1. Therefore, I won't be able to do 1.1.3 unless there is an AppSnapp-like way to do that.
Is there any way to fix my problem? I've looked everywhere and I can't find a solution. I just let it sit at "Preparing iPhone for update..." for about 10 minutes, then it gives me the error. Then I have to restore or use iBrickr to get it out of recovery mode. Seriously, what the hell.
PLEASE HELP. I really want 1.1.2 jailbroken. No, my phone is not unlocked (I use AT&T) and it was 1.0.2OTB.

No way. I won't be able to jailbreak it if I get a new one.

try turning the phone off hold down the power and home button for 10 sec then while continuing to hold the home button plug the phone into the usb. Download the 1.1.2 image from the firmware thread in this forum and shift click restore and choose the image you downloaded. If all else fails try using the 7.4 itunes. You can get it off file hippo.
good luck

So you confirmed that your apple store now carries all 1.1.3 OTB iphones?
I really doubt their stock of 1.1.2 otb is gone since 1.1.3 was released last week.

If you read any recent threads, you would've seen that some guy was concerned that if he went out to buy an iPhone in a week or two, would it be 1.1.3 or 1.1.2? He talked to an Apple store rep and they said once they get the new ones in, the old ones are coming off the shelf.
