Default Help with bootlooped 3gs on 3.1.2! Who's smarter than me?

    Okay here is the Problem.
Got a 3GS 32gb 3.1.2 phone that I purchased and performed a master reset. It was unlocked and jailbroken (old iboot xx936xxx) with blackra1n. I reset it in settings to erase the old data on it. Stooopid mistake!:apple:
After I reset it it would not boot. So I attempted
    • BlackRa1n:

Would not boot the phone, would freeze on Geohotz image, tried this 10 times.
    • Redsn0w.

Started to load it with the 3.1.2 firmware.... loaded fine but freezes on the last step! Authenticating so does not complete. tried this 10 times, always fails
    • Saurik Activation to degrade firmware

I do not have the SHSH file on my computer or on Sauriks server.
    • Itunes shift restore

Cant get this to work because Itunes stopped signing 3.1.2!
    • Snowbreeze and IREB and Umbrella

Tried IREB but will not unloop the iphone.. Umbrella does not give me the shsh file as it was never saved...
Have not tried sn0wbreeze yet as I dont think it will help either.
    In summary..
3gs old iboot that will not boot.
When it runs redsn0w its stop at this line of code:
Couldn't stat("/etc/mach_init.d"): No such file or directory
    com.apple.CommCenter: Already loaded

Of course I dont want to upgrade the iphone to 3.1.3 in itunes. I want to preserve my baseboard and not go to 3.1.3. Also I do not have my shsh file so I cant downgrade to a lower version as apple refuses to sign them electronically.
I also tried this on 3 computer (dont have an apple available to use Pwnage)
on many usb cables and multiple versions of iTunes.. so its not my hardware.

So anyone smart enough to provide a solution!!

    Also Im on ATT
I ran Irecovery and got this...

    Solution,,,
Well I am pretty sure that there is none. When I reset all my information I am pretty sure i lost my pwn and my firmware. Now it looks like I dont have any OS and am forced to reload the current signed apple 3.1.3.
    What a bummer@

Try this. Let iTunes dl the 3.1.3 firm. Make your custom 3.1.2 firm using pwnage tool. Make 2 copies of it and rename one to iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw and rename the other to x12220000_5_Recovery.ipsw. Go to users/your log in name/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/Device Support and move that "x12220000_5_Recovery.ipsw" file to your desktop for backup purposes. Replace it with your pwned version. Move the original iTunes 3.1.3 firm to your desktop for backup and replace it with your renamed pwned 3.1.2 version;it is in the iPhone Software Update folder. Once you have renamed and replaced both of those files try doing a normal restore from recovery mode with iTunes. If that doesn't work try dfu mode restore. No need to do shift restore as you have replaced the original files with your pwned versions. This was the only thing that worked for me and I was able to finally recover my phone. Good luck and let me know if it works.

I got mine to work by using umbrella and apple server to generate a shsh file in 3.1.3 then running tinyss to trick itunes into signing a custom 3.1.3 firmware..
This took 3 runs to get it to load..
Now im jailbroken in 3.1.3 with 5.11.07

We are talking about a 3GS. I thought you cannot jailbreak a 3GS on 3.1.3

It seems many people have had issues with this..
This worked for me... if you have an unlocked phone on 3,1,2 i suggest do not upgrade..
If you are like me and had a 3,1,2 phone stuck in a boot loop and unable to get outa it then do what i did.
To upgrade to 3.1.3 and keep your baseband use a custom firmware file of 3.1.3 i used pwnage tool to make it and itunes to load it.

Do you have old or new iBoot/bootrom?
And how did you restore custom firmware ? Shift + Restore and chose file?
Do I have to create custrom firmware by my own or can I download it ?
Bacause I use Windows and I don't have Mac, sa I can;t use pwnage .
