    Default Hard reset- soft reset

Hi, I believe there are two ways of resetting the iphone. Soft rest is simply by turning the phone off and turning it back on. Hard reset is done by iTunes.

I have an unlocked iPhone ( used unlocker.app) and since that time I've installed some apps. Including BSD subsystem which I can't uninstall. My question is if I hard reset the phone via iTunes, will my phone be relocked and if not will it help me get rid of this BSD subsytem and get a clean fresh system as I first unlocked it.

see my othet thread. to completely restore the iphone, there's more to do than just restoring it via iTunes. That's where I am stuck as well, I hope someone can help me out. You need that BBUPDATER and a few files. I can mail those to you, if you need them. Drop me a mail.

If I use the reset funktion in the settings, will my phone be relocked? And if not, will it get rid of all the apps I 've installed?

    Yes the phone is jailbroken.

    No, SOFT RESET is this:
Press and hold the Sleep/ Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider.
    It means shut off!
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
It means another thing, you should try!

This has fixed mine 'mail error/25 more messages/no password provided for ...' and 'incorrect password for ...' for wifi after an app crash.
