Yeah, Safari DOES work. I had to restart for Safari to pick up the settings. Installer.app is AppTapp, also working.

Still not working is MobileChat and YouTube. I can search YouTube, but videos do not load.

I imagine if you install tiny proxy it should work. Your phone will still be port 80 until you start the proxy then it should listen on port 8080 of your Wifi then your phone will forward those packets to the port 8080 of your providers proxy across gprs or edge.

    Man that is confusing...

It does make sense though doesn't it?

However, I am willing to bet it will be slooooow..

I tried tinyproxy, but it didn't work. It needs to be reconfigured to forward port 8080 now. I'm no tinyproxy expert, so hopefully someone can crack that.

    I'm in Qatar and I tested using www.texan.net/speed.htm and I got a return of 78.3 Kbs or 9.6 K bytes/sec.

Someone suggest a speed test site so we can all be on the same page.

I am also not a tiny proxy expert, when my Fiance' gets back with my laptop I will try to set it up and see if I can get it working.
