    Default gmail pop retrieving sent messages weird

    I have a problem with the mail.app on my iPhone. I have gmail set up and it works wonderful, except for the fact that it downloads messages I have sent into my inbox and treats them like incoming mail.

    Is this a mail.app or gmail problem?

    known behavior with gmail.
    goto "Settings" -> "Mail" ->fingertip your Gmail account, hit "Advanced" and set "Use recent mode" to off
