My mom just gave me a new iPhone 3g for my birthday. Yay! The trade off is that she's taking my old one.

The iPhone has been jailbroken but not unlocked. She's a current AT&T customer, but has no intention of using EDGE and won't be paying for it. I want her to just be able to drop her SIM in and go. Would this require an unlock? Should I also use BossPrefs to disable EDGE so she won't use it accidentally? Would this also kill visual voicemail?

Idally, I'd like to have something that resembles a "clean" iPhone as much as possible. She's never going to install anything that can't be found in the App Store. I'd love to just give her a "factory settings" iPhone and let her go with it, but if not I figure I can use Poof to hide the extra icons. I'm not concerned about wiping my data since there's nothing on there I'd be afraid of my mom seeing.
