which Provider has the second best EDGE coverage and is it any good ?

I would guess Vodafone but another press release said that they only offer EDGE outside of UMTS regions so--> city == no EDGE ?!?!

Any insights ?!

I think T Mobile has the best Edge coverage in Germany, second is vodafone, o2 has some and i think that e plus has none,

does anybody know if you get egde with congstar?

Using Congstar right now and its perfect.
Measured real world transfers up to 300 kBit/s.

You should take a look at klarmobil, also D1 Network, just even a bit cheaper than congstar.
I realized that 1 day after i moved to congstar...

P.S. anyone else willing to comment on Vodafones EDGE coverage / Quality ? I am thinking hard about that DEBI(L)TEL contract :-)
( Or any idea for a good data flatrate in D1 Net ? )

O2 has no EDGE and there are no plans to take care about EDGE by O2. Vodafone only has EDGE in some sections where no UMTS is available. So the best EDGE coverage is still T-Mobile...

well i already stated that T-Mobile has the best EDGE coverage, that i know.
Pretty sobering what you tell about Vodafone :-(

What again was the Speed difference between EDGE & GPRS : 384 kBit/s vs. 200 kBit/s ??
I could live with that... maybe...

What Plan do you use for EDGE with congstar? I only see calling flatrates.
Does it work without unlocking the iphone (since it's using the D1 Network)

i am using a 0 Euro per month Plan...
Data are always 9 cent / minute !
You have to unlock for COngstar.
