So finally it has begun, the attack on the iPhone with malicious software. Here is a link to the thread which holds the information related to the attack.

And with the iVirusScan and Stinger Mobile Beta's by McAfee it will help too. Unless it is something like the 1.1.3 Prep. And I am in the same boat as )law( I cant believe it was just a kid. He must've thought he was pretty funny.

you think a kid was bad just imagine a adult with real code skills and no life. A otaku as the Japanese would call them I believe. The only real way I can see us combating this is to wisen up and relezie that we have to start covering our asses or else we could loose more than our phones but our personal info as well....

Yes, you are right )law(. Otaku is the word. Someone with an Otaku lifestyle can really screw us up.

And yes, I am also as surprised about 1.1.3 Prep master mind being just a kid....

Edit - We can now have some peace of mind as it seems McAfee is developing an Anti-Virus for the iPhone.

yea some peace of mind would be nice. We already have a dedicated team that we trust for our hacks I don't see why we shouldnt have some kind of dedicated 3rd party team that we trust our sucurity to as well. Kind of like a side devision of dev team. As far as those anti virus guys I am not saying that we shouldnt trust em but I am also not saying that we shouldnt pick up some slack as well and cover our own asses...

Yeah, it would be nice to see a branch to the Dev Team concerned with security only. I also agree with you that we must not depend on the McAfee team, as they will surely charge us like $40 for the app (its business for them).
