    If you are competant, you can replace the dock connector cable (avail on Ebay) as there is fuse protection built into this cable and you have fried it. I have done this repair but be warned, you should google for instructions and be VERY careful dismantling as it is a tough one to strip down and to replace this cable you virtually have to take everything to bits. Otherwise, flog it on the bay, poeple will buy just about anything!!!

    Thanks Scudder, took it in to Apple Store, he tried with his cable, didn't work either, but he did get a low batt sign, you are talking about the external one?
