Then I bought new HTMac (mini) which of course had empty calerder and iCal and I was able to sync all my contacts and calender notes to my mini. This without losing any data from iPhone. iTunes just asked if I want to sync because syncing would affect more than 5% of my whole calender and iCal events.
If iTunes ask you to set iPhone to this computer just click cancel button. Then take that tab which contains contact, calender, email etc stuff and press sync. It should work. At least Im able to sync my iPhone in home and work. Without losing any data.
I hope I find it works this way when I get my Mac. It would seem crazy for Apple
leave out such a feature. But then again, no crazier than leaving out
cut and paste from a 2007 internet device...

iTUnes won't delete the data. It will ask you to either Merge Data between iPhone and Com, or replace data on iPhone with Com's data. Choose MERGE. At least thats how its working on Mac OSX 10.4 and my 1.1.1 iPhone. I have synced my iphone with laptop and iMac, the only thing that gets erased when cross syncing is Music and Vids. Calendars and Contacts gets merged on both comptuers.

My HDD chrased and I have now installed a new Itunes on my new HDD. The problem is that I have all my music files on my Iphone and when I try to sync with my new Itunes it wants to erase all my music on my Iphone. Is there any way to import all my music back to Itunes?? I'm using Windows XP.
Thanks!

From what I have seen there is no way of doing this. You can only backup those not decrypted content and list of these is mentioned in previous page. You have to make indivitual backups of each directory contents.
