Found a bug to crash the iPhone. bug?
just like the title states, I was fiddling around with the phone and found a way to make it crash.
1. go to phone mode
3. choose any one of them
5. click any number that you have for the contact
6. click the type (mobile, home, etc.)
7. scroll to the bottom and click ADD CUSTOM LABEL
8. name it something (ex. Business) -> then save
so by now you have assigned a new type to the number
9. click save and then DONE
now you have a contact with a number that is set to a custom profile. great... now , this is where the crash bug comes in.
10. go back and repeat steps 1->6 to edit the type again.
11. instead of adding a new label, REMOVE that type u just added (ex. business)
12. once u remove it and save it... the iphone will say "label" instead of "mobile" or whatever the default thing should be
NOW, everytime that number is received, the phone will crash. u cannot answer the call or reject it. (the phone will continue to keep ringing) as well as not being able to call that number.
after the phone stops ringing, the springboard messes up (in my case) and i end up doing a reboot.
THIS WILL HAPPEN EVERYTIME THE NUMBER CALLS U OR (edit) EVERYTIME U TRY TO CALL THE NUMBER... i think the "label" function is not coded properly or something.
now a person who has SSH access to an unlocked iphone can easily use the default pass to login (which most users don't bother changing, if u have termvt100, just type "passwd" to change it ) and edit the contact db so the phone cannot receive calls and will crash everytime a call is trying to be made or received from the contact list!
I have repeated this process several times on my phone but could someone else please confirm this on their phone.

Reason: u also cannot dial the number
??? This doesn't render your phone useless... a quick reboot and you'll be able to edit the contact again to remove and reenter the number. (it will crash everytime that number is recalled by the phone -incoming/outgoing)
Can someone please try this and let me know? just for the fun of it, I would like to create a script that will prevent a phone from making calls as well as getting them TO TEST THE FUNCTION
What firmware version, 1.1.1?
