Default Force upgrade to 1.0.2 rather than 1.1.1

I'm getting my iPhone next saturday, by which time 1.1.1 will be out.

Now, assuming it arrives with 1.0.0 or 1.0.1, how can I upgrade to 1.0.2 without going all the way to 1.1.1?

    Cheers

download the 1.0.2 restore file and hold "option" while pressing restore. Hold shift if on windows. That will let you point to a file for iTunes to use.

I would kill your internet connection as well just in case when restoring.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Do you know where I can download the 1.0.2 restore file? and also which folder does it go in? and finally, I assume 1.0.2 'includes' 1.0.1, so I wont need that file? (silly question, but just to be sure... )

    Hello!

I had a problem a few hours ago while installing the installer app
I'm getting the "please connect to iTunes" triangle

so... i need to restore i'm afraid...

the thing is that when i click (on a mac) apple/option-key + restore i get this message

    >> are you sure you want to restore..... and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed <<

so, i don't get this option to choose for firmware versions...

and of course i'm too chicken to click on the < restore and update > button

    i have iTunes 7.4.1

    help!

    GJ
