FLAC for iPhone
Hey Everyone-
I currently carry my iPod 5G and iPhone around together because I listen to FLAC files on my Rockboxed iPod and the iPhone can't play FLAC. Does anyone know if it would be possible to create a program that would allow the open source format to be played? The file wouldn't need to be played in the iPhone "iPod", but instead could be opened in some new application. FLAC is open source and I know that the music player that I use, Play, http://sbooth.org/Play/ has source code available for download. Does this sound technically feasible to port or create some basic music player? I know the iPhone doesn't even have that much storage, but it could still hold 7 or 8 of my favorite FLAC albums.
Thanks, Aaron

I doubt this is in the works at the moment - just decode them to WAV format and transfer them to the iphone - thats what i've been doing!
Good luck....

I just find a step by step guide on how to play FLAC on iPod in lossless or lossy way at Step by Step Guide on How to Convert FLAC to Play FLAC Files in iTunes/iPod/iPhone/iPad
This guide applies to:
* Convert FLAC to Apple Lossless or AIFF to play lossless FLAC on iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Mini, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad2, iTunes, Quicktime, iMovie, FCP, FCE.
* Convert FLAC to MP3 to play FLAC on iPhone/iPad/iTunes/iPod/Quicktime/iMovie/FCP/FCE/Windows Media Player in lossy way.
* Convert FLAC to other audio formats including lossy AC3, AU, M4A, MP2, OGG, RA, and WMA.
