    Default Fingerprint on SIM

I was wondering whether getting one's fingerprint on the golden part of the SIM chip would affect the contact at all with the phone. Whenever I change my SIM I'm always careful to not touch the gold contact, but someone told me that it doesn't really matter. Is this true?

Yes, when I got my finger print on my iPhone SIM it bricked! I always wash it off if it gets dirty.

I don't think that touching the gold contacts of the SIM card will brick the iPhone. I've always been changing my phone and on many occasions, I have touched the gold contacts. It is more likely that washing the gold contacts with water that destroyed the card. I suggest gettting the SIM card changed and the iPhone should work.

he meant his iPhone SIM bricked... as in the sim messed up
it all depends on what kinda crap you get on the contacts and if it shorts the sim out when power is sent thru it...

BUT.. you can was sim cards... camera cards and thumbdrives all day long and they wont break as long as you dry them out before using them
