Exclamation Finally! Listen to iPod through bluetooth headset!

    What I used (and works):

    > iPhone 8GB Unlocked using 1.1.1
    > Nokia HS-11W
    > Also working with 1.0.2

    Here's how:

1> Pair your headset, make a test call to see if it works. End the call normally.
    2> Dial *#307#, press call.
3> Press the answer button twice with 2 seconds delay in your bluetooth headset (If you don't do this correctly, you will continue to listen the ringtone in headset)
    4> Press answer on iPhone.
5> Press the home button, do NOT end the call.
6> Open iPod and play a song, you won't get sound from iPhone, nor headset.
7> Once it is playing, press the home button.
    8> Open phone.
    9> Dial 0, press Call.
10> It will ring again, answer.
11> Press audio source, select your headset.
12> Press home button, do NOT end call. (we're almost there)
13> Open iPod and play anything you like.

    ##Short Way## Please confirm.

1> *#307# Dial, press twice bt headset button twice
2> Answer on iPhone, press source.
    3> Select bt headset.
4> Press home button, open iPod, play anything.

Now, you will get iPod playing through your bluetooth headset.
If it works, press the thumbs up hand in the left side!

didnt try it but we can all make sure now (if it's really works) that iphone has bt 2.0 with hands-free profile and maybe a2dp. i guess it also has file-transfer profile.

if someone already opened his iphone we may know which electronics it has..

works perfect dude, can recieve sms too but downside is no incoming calls.

Please can someone workout how to make this into an app so we can recieve calls too!!

Hopefully after trying this more people making apps will see how great it is listening to music without cables. This really makes the iphone a new age device.
if we can just get it as an app and get incoming calls we are set.

great find dude I had thought about using the call back to but never tried it, does it charge your account at all ? I can't seem to get my account data up.

Best luck to all trying this.

Mine worked on 1.0.2 as well.

Edit. plus the phone doesn't get hot at all doing this, I'll post back what the battery use is like but looks good so far I have no idea why apple didn't add this functiion themselves.

battery life seems good to so far but a downside is I can't get out of the callback without resetting the phone (poweroff and on) or getting an incoming call that comes up as a missed call.

Im pretty sure there in no native app that does this. I really can't wait till one comes out.

The call back also doesn't cost you anything at all, just incase anyone was interested. (I never new till this hack)

also functions of the phone still work such as safari and changing songs in the ipod and such just ending the callback is hard

i love all these little dial hacks that work. they are fun

This hack really makes the iphone the best ipod ever, considering the ipod touch doesn't have bluetooth. It works sooooo well, good quality too, someone really needs to take note and workout how to make this into an app.

    great work JSN1

I can further confirm after a few tries on 1.0.2, the only way to get the callback to end is by ringing and hanging up on another phone.

But on the upside the battery doesn't seem to drain any faster than when you are using alot of wifi or watching a movie.

I really have no idea why apple didn't include this feature heaps of other phones have it but not many have space like the iphone for music.

I am wondering, when you dial *#307#, is it count as our plan minute?

Just to clarify, it works in Stereo? Or the iphone is transmiting mono audio?

It does not use you credit and it is only mono as you cannot pair headphones to the iphone yet

I left a msg on ericas website to see if she can make an app!

The "funny" part is: I heard a rumour that Apple doesn't offer a A2DP bt profile for one single reason: their stereo bt wireless headset isn't ready to go yet (development/design issues), so they delay A2DP, so they don't loose customers to other brands. If true, this wouldn't be nice but I guess this is how companies do business nowadays.
At least I hope we can expect something nice from Apple when the stereo bt headset is finally available.
