    It is +18

I tried adding a contact for +18. Voicemail SMS still doesn't work.

How did you reactivate your call forwarding? Automated service or via speaking to fido rep?
    You had a bad csr.

Fido made me call some strange number to reactivate the voicemail forwarding ... *3001-something-something-something-something-something-something-something-.

Call Fido again, get the proper number and you're all set. Good luck man!

    Appleman,

I could be way off here, but I suspect that the message sent from Fido isn't an sms, but maybe an MMS message, as the iPhone does not support MMS it wouldn't receive them.

I called, they gave me this number: *004*3436#

But it didn't seem to change anything? :|

Is that the same number they gave you?

It looks similar, but I'm not 100% sure.

If possible, try using that number on the cell you bought from Fido. I did this in my SE.

If that fails, call 1 888 481-FIDO (3436) on a landline and then go through the steps with the rep using your cellphone.

Default How is this possible ....

Um, so the EDGE network starting working for me yesterday and I have no idea why. I had previously tried restarting, reactivating, restoring, having Fido turn the service on and off and nothing fixed it. It's been 2 days and I haven't touched my settings. On my way home, I accidentally touched the weather and *boom* it updated without failing (or getting that "you're not subscribed to Edge" warning.)

Very strange. It's like Fido flipped a switch.

Mine randomly works too, when it showed up as working before, I checked the edge settings and it was randomly set up with the Cingular edge network?! Very odd..
