Fido users: Have until tomorrow to get 4 months unlimited internet for iPhone!
http://fido3gexperience.ca//promotion.html
"Subscription to the $10 Surfing option or the $18 Value Pack, customers will benefit from four months of unlimited surfing, from November 1, 2007 to February 4, 2008."
Read the fine print. Promotion ends tomorrow, Feb 4, 2008.
Fido users have until tomorrow to get the 18$ value pack or the surfing option, and get 4 months of UNLIMITED browsing.
Those who have been smart enough to take advantage of this promotion: I called today, cancelled my $18 value pack (downgraded to the $16) and called back right away and put the $18 one back on and got an additional 4 months unlimited browsing.
Been using this on my iPhone for 2 months already, and used 159mb on my last bill with a 0$ charge.

Can I still call in tommorow to remove, then readd the package? Are you sure the 4 months of unlimited data is reset?
-
-
Yes, you can, and yes, I am sure. Ask the rep when you restart the 18 pack when your 4mths unlimited browsing (labelled as SDP4MTH) expires.

Would it work if I remove the pack all together, and then readd it? I want to keep the pro rated charges on my invoice to a min.

-
Yep... Or just call back 2 minutes after LOL... You'll be prorated for about 0.01$

Sounds good. Any chance I can get the free month as well.
In any case I will call in later tommorow.

HI.
Brand new noob here.
I'm with rogers, and currently on a month to month. I will be recieving my iphone in about a week.
I know that Rogers might be in question, based on a previous post. A question. These new packages that Rogers/Fido/Bell have or are about to roll out, will the rest be like Rogers and be based on their handsets ONLY?
Shawnee53 When you added this to your iphone, did you have to tell them you're on an iphone? Does it matter to them??
Thanks for any help possible to a new iphone adopter.
Spade.

It is not possible to do so anymore. If you remove it, then re-add it, you only get until the first 4 month end date.

I'm enjoying this promotion as well, but that's way too clever... cancelling and registering for it again... LOL

I downgraded to the $16, then upgrade to the $18...and it worked! Unlimited data until June 4th. The reps thought I was crazy for upgrading and downgrading 3 times within the same day, but for unlimited data it was worth it.
