So I am wondering if people that did the FactoryActivated activation method are still working with the new update 1.1.1? For those that do not know this is the activation method that does not care about the ICCID found on the sim card.

Hi,

This methods depends on patching the lockdownd binary. When you update the iphone, this binary will certainly be overwritten, rendering it to its original version.
This way, it will turn the phone back to an unactivated state.

There's a chance the lockdownd binary is not overwritten, in some special circumstances. If that's the case, there's a good chance the hack will still work.

I haven't tried it out, though.

yeah, i'm wondering the same thing.

does anyone think if you tried to legitimately activate an unlocked iphone through at&t first and THEN tried to update, you would still have activation issues??
