I honestly don't know what to expect this year. I am 99.9% sure that we will not be seeing a tablet mac. If you look at the markets that Apple gets into, they are usually already well developed, making Apple not the first, but the first to do it right. The tablet pc market is almost nonexistent, and it is certainly not a mainstream product. Apple is quickly turning from its roots as a PC company, their heart is with the iPod and iTunes, despite their otherwise great success in the area. Apple used to push the limits of ordinary with their computers, now they are just letting everyone else fall in place while they bide some time. If they want to stay on top, I think it's time for them to drastically change the landscape of computing, but they need to do this right, they can't half ass it. That's why I don't think that Apple is quite ready yet for the tablet mac. It will definitely come, I knew that from the moment Jobs compared multitouch to both the scroll wheel and the computer mouse, that's what we call a huge hint :p, but it's not just going to be a macbook with the screen flipped around and a touch screen.

On a semi related note, how many people still remember when Jobs announced the iPhone at the last MacWorld? He said "Widescreen iPod with touch sensitive controls" and people were like "okay, cool". Then, he said "revolutionary mobile phone" and the crowd went wild. I was like, finally, after 4+ years of speculation, we can stop with the rumors.

you know, I have not seen anyone bring this up...when apple releases a new iphone ill bet anything they will allow current iphone owners to upgrade (saying you have an ATT 02 or whatever plan) without having to sign a new contract...

    UK iPhone sales 'disappoint'

"... The report describes Christmas sales of the 269 device as a "disappointment", and states Apple CEO Steve Jobs to be likely to reveal European sales of the device during his Macworld Expo keynote, but warns he may not offer a specific per-country breakdown of sales."
