Default [Exchange Server] Possible to delete emails ?

When I delete emails from the iphone, they do not get removed from the Exchange server INBOX.

There is, however, a copy of said deleted email in the 'deleted items' folder. If I were to delete the email from the INBOX that was SUPPOSED to be deleted, I wind up with duplicates in the 'deleted items' folder.

So, is this a problem with the iphone's IMAP account and the synced Exchange server? It seems those with true IMAP email accounts do not have this problem.

How are you able to use Exchange with the Iphone? Do you have any links on how to use this. AFAIK you need to use a 3rd party program to make it work with MS Exchange

My Exchange server provider allows for IMAP access. Some providers do this, while others don't

Yep, this problem is known to apple and can be referenced as Bug ID# 5323599. Hopefully it'll be fixed in this round of updates!

Interesting. Do you have a link to the all the known iphone bugs so far, including this one?

I recall Apple were looking to hire a developer with Exchange experience and other Microsoft Server technologies.

I was very dissapointed it didn't get fixed in 1.1.2. You would think they would at least test it a little and find such an obvious bug.

I second the question. Anyone knows if it's fixed in 1.1.3 ?

I think this issue was fixed in v1.1.1. I just deleted a couple of mails from my Exchange account through the iPhone and they got deleted on both sides and moved to Deleted Items folder. Running 1.1.2 here, btw.

That's what I heard too but found reality to be different. It certainly doesn't work for me.
