Default Error - Duplicate Sources.list in Cydia

I am getting desperate, I have a iPhone 3G running ios 4.2.1, it is jailbroken and unlocked using ultrasn0w. Around the time that the Cydia servers went down my phone started giving me a series of error messages each time I executed the Cydia App. I would like to correct the issue but don't know how. Can anyone help?

    Here are the error messages:

W: Duplicate sources.list entry BigBoss Cydia Repository | iPhone News, Help and Guides stable/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/apt.thebigboss.org_repofiles_cydia_dists_stable_ma in_binary-iphoneos-arm_Packages)

    W: Duplicate sources.list entry ultrasn0w.com ./ Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/repo666.ultrasn0w.com_._Packages)

    W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://apt.modmyi.com stable/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/apt.modmyi.com_dists_stable_main_binary-iphoneos-arm_Packages)

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
I tried sending a request to Saurik but have heard nothing.
Thanks to anyone who is willing to help.

So far I have tried the following but I still get the same Duplicate sources message.

    apt-get update
Restarted Cydia and errors still appear.

    apt-get remove cydia
    apt-get install cydia
Restarted Cydia and errors still appear.

    Open iFile.

    1) Navigate to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d

    2) Delete the file "cydia.list" (click EDIT on the top right, select the file, and click the waste basket).

    3) Navigate to /var/lib/apt/lists

    4) Delete all of the files in this folder except the one called "lock"

    5) Navigate to /var/lib/apt/lists/partial (nothing was in this folder - empty)

    6) Delete all of the files in this folder

    7) Navigate to /var/lib/cydia

    8) Delete the file "metadata.plist"

Close iFile and restart Cydia. You should be at the first screen you saw when you first started Cydia: What kind of user are you? Make your selection and Cydia will re-generate the default sources.
Restarted Cydia and errors still appear.

    Help, Please.

    Hi,

I have had the same issues since upgrading to 4.3.1 JB and Cydia Server issues.
Have you heard any updates on how to fix it.
I have tried running apt-get update several times, but still get the same errors when runnin Cydia.

I have also tried deleting the files mentioned in this forum, but still get the same errors when loading Cydia.

I tried running apt-get update from command line in ssh, and now do not get the duplication error shown in command line results after deleting the said files. Only see the errrors when starting the Cydia App on the 3GS.

OK, tried switching phone off and back on after deleting the files mentioned, and now Cydia starts perfectly again. Pheew !!

Hope this helps someone else in the same situation..

    Cheers !!

Mine stopped when I went to Cydia > Manage > Sources and deleted all the Sources. Then I quit Cydia and SSH'd in and ran "apt-get remove cydia" followed by "apt-get install cydia". Then rebooted the phone. That solved it for me. Run without the quotes.

After looking-up for the fix, I found the solution right here:
Fix “Duplicate sources.list entry” on Cydia SenseiPhone

Simply remove all *.list files, but cydia.list
