hey guys.....basically i bought an iphone in december...it was an 1.1.2, i downgraded it to 1.1.1 and then upgraded to 1.1.2 using a stealth sim . 2 months ago i restored it to 1.1.4 and used zziphone. i have to say it has caused me some problems, like sometimes it just gets stucked or it takes a couple of seconds to get back to the menu and the email crashes . i was thinking of going back to 1.1.2, but when i restore the iphone in itunes (7.5) at the end of the process i get a message saying error 1015. i have also tried doing this process in DFU but i cant get it restored to any version. the only one that will restore to is 1.1.4, and i hate it! help!!! does anyone know how to restore back to 1.1.2????

I seem to remember having a similar problem and error. Use iBrickr to kick the phone out of recovery mode after downgrading. See if that helps.

use iLiberty to kick it into DFU and restore to 1.1.4, then jailbreak/activate/unlock with iLibery+ and you should be fine. the issues your having are probably related to the fact that you used Ziphone.

but isnt this just for 3.9 bl=???! cause i know that when i unlocked my 1.1.4 it downgraded it! i used ibrickr....the light on the iphones stays green and it doesnt change...what should i do?!

all done. i restored it to 1.1.2 and i still got the error, just closed itunes and used ibrickr to kick it out of recovery mode. when i try to backup all the info i had on before ( sms, photos etc) i get a message saying i cant back it up because it was a different version. any solutions?

Glad you got yourself back to 1.1.2. iBrickr has saved the day for me a few times. As for your backup, maybe try using iLiberty to get back to 1.1.4. Its much better than Ziphone and should not cause the same troubles as you had before.
Only problem I can think of is i've read many times that using backups can cause issues when setting the phone up, all the guides i've read recommend setting up as a new phone.

I can't reccomend ZiPhone to anyone. I used it last night and ended up with a constantly crashing phone. I re-used it today after first recovering firmware in iTunes, when it just got worse than ever imagined. I've spent the whole evening with constant crashing when attaching and recovering in iTunes...
