[EDGE] Won't connect anymore

my phone has been acting up lately, just running kinda sluggish. ive been installing stuff and uninstalling stuff and just been screwing with it a lot. so i figured i may have messed with something i shouldnt have. so i restored my phone to 1.1.1 just to clean everything off. before i restored everything worked great, but after my edge stopped.

Ive tried everything i can think of

but my edge still wont connect. ive searched and have found a few people with similar problems, but they all seem to have just been forgeting to put in their settings. i have t-mobile and have internet2.voicestream.com in my edge settings nothing happens but when i put in wap.voicestream.com i can get my mail. but safari doesnt work.

ive restored to 1.1.1 over 6 times, and now ive restored to 1.1.2 hoping that might help, but still the same issue.

i really have no idea what to do now. anyone know how to fix this?

well i tried that today, and it didnt seem to work, but i have noticed something new, when i go into boss prefs and turn edge off. the little E up in the corner stays there.

anyone else have any suggestions? i for some reason never realized how much i used the internet on my phone until now when i cant

Whats the error message, thats important. Try Safari, turn Wi-Fi off before and let me know.

Could not activate EDGE: You are not subscribed to EDGE

then says, Safari can't open because it can't find the server.

Ok, but you said "when i put in wap.voicestream.com i can get my mail. but safari doesnt work." In this case when using wap.voicestream.com you obviously do have EDGE otherwise you would not get mail. Opening Safari then probably gives you an error like "Safari couldn't find the server". Would you then try to type http://64.233.167.99 instead of Googles address (while using wap.voicestream.com) and tell me what happens?

nope doesnt give me any error, the little circle thing up top keeps spinning like its trying to load the page but nothing ever pops up. when i type in http://64.233.167.99 nothing happens either. i have however kinda fixed the problem, i installed the t-zones hack and when i use wap.voicestream.com i am able to use all the internet functions. but it is slower than it was before. and internet2.voicestream.com still doesnt work.
