HI Guys,

Ive searched and searched but cant fid no answer, maybe some one can help
i am in the UK using T-mobile edge settings.
When ever i use wifi - it connects to the network but still uses my edge settings to connect to the internet, youtube etc...

i have tried removing the edge settings, but the weird thing is it still connects to edge!

anyone know how i can use my wifi connection instead of edge?

I have a similar problem with my EDGE settings with T-Mobile Germany. I have not set any APN, username and password, since I don't want to use EDGE at all (too expensive). But when opening Safari I can still browse the web without the EDGE settings. How is this possible??

Try to put anything invalid into the edge settings, especially the access point information.

Quick question. If you are connected to your WIFI, how do you know it's using your Edge settings? I ask, because I got a 200+ EUR phone bill and think that my phone might have been using my edge access point via my Wireless router

Just disconnect the EDGE in Settings > General > Network. If it still connects to the Internet it only can be WiFi.
t-mobile connects to EDGE without settings, it is automatic.
I use t-mobile in UK without settings (I have unlimited internet )

Im on the webnwalk unlimited plan, therefore not too fussed about using the edge.
There must be a simple way to disconnect edge so i can use wifi instead. No matter what i try it just keeps using my edge account its driving me nuts!!!
