after I activated my EDGE service with tmobile today, I realized that the video quality on you tube is very poor... And I know it is not the video itself because I have seen it many times... is that normal?

You cant use EDGE for youtube, its only wifi.

According the Apple you can use youtube with EDGE. When your trying to access youtube are you stood still or moving? Everytime I've used youtube it's been fine. But edge doesn't work too well unless your standing still.

The video quality is automatically reduced when you are using EDGE to ensure that it doesn't take like 15 minutes for one video to download. I'm pretty sure that the video quality is not based on signal strength, so that is probably just going to make you wait longer.

Yup, you can use You Tube with EDGE. I didn't have any wireless networks in range at the time...

I stood still when I played the video, but the quality was awful..
