    Default EDGE no longer working for T-Mobile on iPhone??

    My internet has been down for the last few days when I'm using EDGE on T-mobile with my unlocked iPhone (1.0.2 Firmware). It won't connect to websites or download my email any more. My phone settings have not changed and I still have the $19.99 Internet service with T-Mobile. I have also noticed my "E" is no longer indicated on my phone. I have the EDGE network setting to wap.voicestream.com. I switched the APN to "epc.tmobile.com" and it worked for a while, then it went down and came back again. I've also tried "internet2.voicestream.com" , but that does not connect at all. I'm in SoCal. What is going on with T-Mobile's network? I never used to have this issue before. Anyone else having the same issue? Is there something wrong with my phone? Do I need to do some sort of reset?

    working fine here.
    My phone is running 2.1 with the tzones. You have the full $19.99 internet plan with T-mobile so it should work fine. I believe the APN you need to use is internet2.voicestream.com. Perhaps give t-mobile a call.

    still working
    epc.tmobile.com

    if you have the 19.99 plan it should be internet2.voicestream.com

    try to restart your phone? or restore? or just remove the sim card. it happened to me before that E was missing. removed sim and it fixed it.

    I will do the sim card removal and then change the APN to internet2.voicestream.com (b/c right now when I change the APN to that setting it will not connect at all). All this time I had been using wap.voicestream.com with no problem. Did T-Mobile changed something recently which disabled the wap.voicestream.com for ppl that are on the $19.99 plan?

    Ok I took out the sim card and then put it back in and changed the APN to "internet2.voicestream.com" and it works fine. I also tested the APN with epc.tmobile.com and wap.voicestream.com and those work as well now. So is there any difference in which APN setting I use since I have the $19.99 plan? Any difference is speed?


    Update: It seem to have worked for a few minutes, but now the "E" is gone again and it wouldn't connect again. So I changed the APN to epc.tmobile.com and then it worked again. So I went back to switch to "internet2" but nothing. Then I switched it back to "epc.tombile.com" and that one won't work either. Should I give it a few minutes between changing APN to have it connect to it's server? Or it should take effect right away? Do you guys think there is something wrong with my sim card (too old) or is it something on T-Mobile's end? It just seems to come and go. I took the sim card out and put it back in, but got no "E" when phone turned on. Phone is really acting weird in that it will show no bars, then come back with E but I get a blank screen without any icons. Is this something with the sim card or the hack on the iphone has gone corrupt? It seems to work for like 15 minutes when I have it on any of the APN settomgs, but then fail shortly after that. Any advice??
