Anyone got billed yet for browsing with the $7 Fido plan??

Bump. Anyone get their Fido or Rogers bill on the $7 (unlimited) data plan w/o messing with the IMEI etc..?

Got my Rogers bill. No charges for data on the 'unlimited plan'. Only used approx 20MB however. No changes to the settings i.e. to IMEI, proxy.pac etc..etc..

Yes I realize this may not last forever, but hey if they charged you $0 for one month, and then charge you the next you have something to argue about

Been doing this since it first came out with Fido. Still no charges; I use about 100 MB a month on average.

Jowo, if you do try it make sure to have them put a note on your account that you are using an iPhone and won't get charged more than the $7/mo. I'd record the call as well just to be sure.

I did it right when it was announced so the reps presumably didn't have as much training and information as they do now. Apparently they are being educated by their superiors about not adding iPhones and such; unfortunately you might be out of luck. But definitely try anyway. Apparently Fido is easier to deal with than Rogers.
